LAFC-SCV Boys 2011 Gold, coached by Jared White, won Surf Cup over the July 30th weekend.  After falling to Albion Temecula Academy 3-0 in the opening game, the team rallied to win their next two pool play games by scores of 6-0 (ISC Gunners EA, Washington) and 3-1 (Los Gatos, Cal North).  This set up a rematch with Albion Temecula Academy in the finals.  After trailing 2-1 late, Eddy Lopez scored the game tying goal with 5 seconds left to send the game into penalty kicks.  Jake Stires, Bryce Arietta, Zane Hurst, and Ryder Zarick all converted their shots, while goalkeeper Cristian Casillas made two huge saves.  Congratulations to the B2011 Gold Team for this amazing accomplishment.
